Very small rooms. Decor a bit sterile.

Welcoming, accommodating, and helpful staff. Beautiful pool with food and beverage services easily available and a water slide! The most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. The hotel has a service to take our bags in a van from the port to the hotel - super helpful instead of having to walk the 15 minute walk with bags. Easy access to downtown area, you walk along a beautiful path for about 15 minutes. Amazing hotel breakfast with tons of options.

It was easy to hear our neighbors next door and the music playing in the hotel (or nearby?) at all hours. I'm a heavy sleeper so it didn't bother me, but my husband had some rough nights. That might just be the way things are in Hvar, though. It would have been nice if the refrigerator wasn't filled with items for purchase so that we could fit our own items in the refrigerator.

Badly designed hotel. It took 2 lifts,one of the lifts being a goods lift, and a walk to get from our room to the pool. A very awkward exercise. I would recommend with my comments about the bad design

The view from the reception was to die for..

The room as nice and good value for money. it was my boyfriends 30th and they gave us a surprise piece of chocolate cake and wrote happy Bday which was really unnecessary. the staff were nice and poilte and the views from the breakfast place were great! plus the pool was beautiful.

the accessibility to the pool was quite bad. they had a lift but you still had to walk 30 steps and i (at 29) have really bad knee problems so that was really frustrating.

Very lovely hotel, excellent location with only a 10 min walk along the beautiful coast to the town which has lots of restaurants and cafes. The swimming pool is amazing, was a little cold but very refreshing on the really hot days. There is a great restaurant by the pool where you can get snacks, drinks and cocktails, also a swim up bar!! The hotel is lovely and modern and the staff are all extremely friendly and helpful. Would 100% love to stay at this hotel again and recommend it to everyone. It is the nicest and most luxurious hotel on Hvar island.

Nothing I didn't like. One thing I will say though is that we were traveling with our 4 month old son and I didn't realise that there was no kettle or bath in the room. We went to the town and bought a kettle to make his bottles and a little tub to give him a bath in. The problem was solved within hours so no real drama. I don't think the hotel is geared towards small children but we managed fine in the end.

The staff were exceptionally friendly courteous and helpful. The rooms were small but beautifully modern in design and spotlessly clean. The position is ideal just a lovely seaside promenade walk of 10minutes to town and therefore avoiding the noise of the nightclubs. Perfect.

The minibar was not comprehensive enough and was not refilled. There was no topsheet, so during sleep we were either cold with no cover or too hot with the duvet. A sheet would have sufficed.

Everything about our stay was incredible! at the last minute we bumped our stay to 3 days and i now regret not staying longer!! Hands down the best of the best of hvar - great hotel and facilites! Close to the old city - wonderful food on the restort - perfect - perfect - perfect!

The only thing was the lack of pool side charis. you need to reserve your spot by 9:00am or else you wont be able to be around the pool.other than that...incredible!

This was the second time we stayed at Amfora and the hotel almost lived up to expectations. Great loacation and facilities.

The no. of sunbeds are by far lower than the no.of guests that want a sunbed. This means that you have to reserve around 8 am if you are to get any. Rather annoying.

Fabulous pool, great service and a superb breakfast. A really good choice in Hvar for a little bit of affordable luxury.

After initially being unhappy with our room and the front desk clerk who checked us in, we spoke with the manager, and he subsequently moved us to another room. What a difference! I am not sure if some rooms were just not renovated, or very small, but the room we were moved to was nice and met my expectations as a standard room at a 4/5 star hotel. After this rocky start, we stayed a almost a week, and loved it! The location is ideal, and the main town is an easy walk. The pool was beautiful, and the service was first rate from the concierge to the bar staff in the lobby lounge. The views were spectacular. The food was wonderful at the restaurants, and not pricey relatively speaking. There is no where else I would stay! It was absolutley wonderful!

Nice location.

Room we were originally allocated had no balcony and this was not made clear in the description of a standard double room on the hotel's website. Room we were subsequently allocated was dated. Maid service in the hotel was poor. Maid didn't like making the bed and decided to stack the cushions and over-cover under the bedside tables rather than making the room up nicely. Generally disappointing.

Very friendly staff and everyone speaks English ; Superb pool area and private beach (not sandy); sea views (pay extra); large choice of restaurants not all within the hotel complex; easy walk along coastal path into town centre which caters for young and not so; walking distance to a wide range of water sports; can hire a boat to explore a selection of other islands ( no previous experience required). Honest, I am not employed by the hotel and to prove it I would recommend the Restaurant Dinka next door for fabulous steaks for £10

"double" room not large although well fitted en suite; hotel restaurants pricey particularly wine; the immediate area to the hotel did not seem to be car friendly but immediate facilities within walking distance.
